THN is a statewide non-profit membership organization that provides information services to direct service providers and individual members all across the state of Texas. We are a 501(c)3 organization that is funded through Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and Texas Mental Health/Mental Retardation Department. THN promotes communication, develops awareness, and formulates strategies concerning statewide issues and problems that require solutions more comprehensive than local efforts can supply on their own. The Mission of Texas Homeless Network is to strengthen communities and partnerships to prevent and eliminate homelessness.

Every year, THN hosts the only conference on homelessness in the State of Texas. This year the conference will be held in Austin, Tx at the Omni. Events include keynote speakers, workshops, exhibits, a silent auction, and many other suprises. | Resource Library (under construction) |
The THN library contains over 700 useful resources for Texas' homeless service providers and homeless advocates. Included in the library are examples of successful grants as well as materials related to organization and management of nonprofits, homelessness theory and research, physical and mental healthcare and services, education, housing, legal aid, hunger and nutrition, economics and poverty, community development, and law enforcement. Library resources are $5 per item for nonmembers, but THN members may access them for free.

| Since 1988, Homeless Network News has provided concerned citizens, homeless service providers, state and federal legislators, and governmental officials with a consistent source of information concerning issues relating to homelessness. Published four times each year, Homeless Network News features grant updates, stories and announcements about national and statewide homeless news, and articles on prominent homeless issues. | Coalition Building |
| The Texas Homeless Network has concentrated its efforts on coalition building over the past few years steadily increasing the amount of homeless coalitions across the state. Texas now has 39 local homeless coalitions. Go here for a list of Texas Coalitions. |

| The Texas Homeless Network strives to keep all information provided on the website as up to date and accurate as possible. THN is currently working on providing interactive training tools, a members-only section, a board only section, a merchandise store, and provide an easier way for people to become/maintain membership as well as register for the annual conference.
