Housing Inventory
In the state of Texas, roughly 350 organizations provide a total of 32,737 year-around beds1 for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, displaced from housing, receiving long-term care for disabilities, including Ryan White assistance, and experiencing domestic violence.
This total represents emergency shelter (ES), transitional housing (TH), permanent supportive housing (PSH), and safe haven (SH) beds as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development2.
In mapping current inventory, THN aims to provide communties a resource to inform housing policy and strategy, identify areas of need, and ultimately improve capacity to respond to homelessness.
