Texas Network of Youth Services

, Texas Homeless Network, and Texas Homeless Education Office will be working in partnership with all regions of Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey (excluding Harris County) to support schools and community-based organization better meet the needs of homeless youth and families displaced by the storm.

Support will include:

  • Training and technical assistance offered to school personnel and community service providers
  • Grants to help community-based organizations increase their capacity to better meet the need

As we kick off this important initiative, we will be reaching out to connect with community and school stakeholders to learn more about community needs and existing projects and collaborations. Grant information for community-based organizations will be coming soon.

Needs assessment survey now available!

We want to know what your needs are for training and assessment — if you live in an area impacted by Hurricane Harvey, please take a moment to click here and fill out the survey, letting us know what kind of support would be helpful for us to provide through the Safety Nets for Texas Students project.

This project is generously funded by a grant from the Rebuild Texas Foundation. Learn more about the grant award and plans for the project here.
