Conference FAQ's

While we are still in the planning process, here is a quick 2021 Conference At A Glance that outlines each day.

We believe the in-person conference will give the best opportunity for networking, learning, and connecting that we all have been waiting for throughout the pandemic. Over the last 15 months, we learned that the collaborative, engaging, and energizing atmosphere of an in-person meeting is nearly impossible to replicate online. We are planning our in-person conference to take place in Houston as planned, with the expectation that vaccination rates increase while COVID-19 numbers decrease.

At this time, we are not planning on having a livestream or online option for the conference. It is our plan to broadcast our keynote pending final approval, which will be free to view as a live event.

Registration will open the first week of June.

Please plan your travel accordingly to arrive in time for the Opening Plenary at 1 pm on Monday, October 4th. A number of pre-conference events and business meetings take place the morning of the conference. You can view our schedule at a glance (soon to come) for more details.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

With many things changing in the world right now, we want to assure you that as we continue to plan for the annual Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness,  the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, and staff is our top priority.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as updates and recommendations from public health officials, federal, state, and local authorities, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Since this situation remains fluid and the conference is not until October, we will be adapting and expanding our plans as needed from now until then. Our protocols will reflect the most current advice and best practices, so please check our website regularly for updates:

Health and Safety

      • Physical distancing measures in accordance with local & venue regulations
      • Increased hand sanitizer stations throughout
      • Attendees, exhibitors, vendors and staff will be required to follow face-covering protocol
      • Handshake free interactions

Clean Environments

      • Enhanced deep cleaning before, during, and after the event
      • Increased sanitation of high-traffic areas
      • Catering will employ the highest standard of food safety

The value of a face-to-face conference is immeasurable and we are taking every effort to make sure your experience at this year’s conference, while perhaps different from what we’ve come to expect, is safe, positive, and productive.

Please continue to check our event website for updates as we move closer to the annual Texas Conference on Ending Homelessness.  We thank you for your support and we can’t wait to see you soon.
