This free, interactive training is designed to help housing providers and case managers throughout the state serve people who use drugs in their work.The 1.5 – 2 hour training, delivered by Gaby Libretti, a person with lived and work experience, is available both in person and online. This training will teach housing providers about harm reduction theory and practice, how drug policy has impacted housing access, and how they can implement Housing First principles at their organizations. This training is supported by Texas Targeted Opioid Response, a public health initiative operated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission through federal funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant award number - H79TI085747.

Gabrielle Libretti, QMHP, is the Capacity Building Manager at Texas Harm Reduction Alliance. Gabrielle has lived experience with substance use disorder and has been supporting harm reduction efforts in Austin, Texas since 2019. Gabrielle has professional experience working in mental health and substance use services with unhoused people across community settings, including shelters, housing programs, street outreach, and a drop-in center. She currently provides training and technical assistance for service providers across Texas.
