2023 Coordinated Entry Refresher Training

This webinar will serve as the yearly refresher training for all Coordinated Entry HMIS users, including both entry point staff and receiving agency staff. The training will cover topics including the Coordinated Entry intake and exit processes, the VI-SPDAT assessment tool, the referral process, and prioritization. The training will include policies and procedures from the Texas Balance of State CoC's Coordinated Entry Written Standards as well as instruction on the HMIS Coordinated Entry workflows.
This training is mandatory for the following: HMIS users with access to a CE workgroup (CE assessors)

The Texas Balance of State Continuum of Care meeting will provide general members with an overview of the CoC that will help them better understand the work that Texas Homeless Network does as CoC lead agency and the role of the CoC in homeless services. Anyone living and/or working within the TX BoS CoC is welcome to attend. It is especially recommended for homeless service providers new to working with Texas Homeless Network on CoC activities.

We want to hear from you! THN is seeking input from currently funded CoC Program recipients on how the TX BoS CoC will evaluate projects through the Quarterly Performance Scorecard (QPSC) which has been updated for 2023. This is not intended to be an in-depth overview or training of the QPSC. Rather, recipients should come prepared to share specific feedback related to the point values of scored elements and/or gaps in scored elements relevant to their project type(s). THN staff will share an agenda and the updated QPSC in advance of this session, and projects are strongly encouraged to test the QPSC with data from their project(s) prior to attending. Projects may come and go to this session, and only need to attend portions of the agenda relevant to their agency.
