Safety Nets for Students and Families Training Events

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Overview

Participants will learn about Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a holistic, evidence-based, multi-systemic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI works to empower the body and the environment of vulnerable children and provides insight into the behavior of “children from hard places.” This free training and consultation event is part of our Safety Nets for Students and Families initiative. Registration is open to all; CEUs available. Join us for a special webinar by Eric Masten, Director of Public Policy with National Network for Youth, for an overview of a critical new tool and approach. A systems approach to addressing youth and young adult homelessness in America is critical and, over the past three years, National Network for Youth has been developing a Proposed System to End Youth and Young Adult Homelessness. This one-of-a-kind resource is designed to provide a practical vision for both local planning and collaboration as well as guide federal policymakers to support the creation of a comprehensive, collaborative, system-based approach to addressing youth and young adult homelessness that is youth-centric and flexible through updated laws, policies, and priorities. Are You Identifying All Students Who Need Services Due To Homelessness? How Schools and Communities Can Do More Together

Schools may not always identify students as homeless who are living in doubled-up and substandard housing situations.  As a result, these students may lose access to many rights and services.  In this session, participants will receive tools to help them recognize homelessness when it is not obvious. Service providers and school personnel will work together to develop streamlined systems to ensure that homeless students are accurately and promptly identified and referred for services. This free event is part of our Safety Nets for Students and Families initiative.  Registration is open to all and a free networking lunch is offered from 12:00-1:00 p.m. CEUs available. RSVP here.
